Karaoke and Mardi Gras

I'm sorry that I'm such a slacker. Seriously. I have no time for life. Every day has been full of nursing, or work, or wedding plans. Seriously, seriously. seriously. Not that these things are bad, I just would appreciate a small break! Not a long one or a super awesome fun one, just a small break would be nice. Two weekends of madness. That is what has been going on. Last weekend we went to Double D bar and enjoyed watching other people makes fools of themselves singing. Tedd and Rina serenaded us with "Party in the USA," which consequently is one of my favorite songs ever!!! Gotta love the Miley!

Then Abby sang a very nice rendition of "You Should've Said No" and was one of the lone people to really not make a fool of themselves! Way to go Abby! Awesome job!

Garrett and I then went home, and I realized that we didn't take any pictures of us throughout the evening, so I made him participate in a photoshoot with me. He wasn't the biggest fan of the photoshoot, but that's okay. I got some good ones.

Okay so that was last weekend. We had a nice time, but then it was back to regular old work. Not overly fun but Spring Break is coming up, so never fear, the madness will stop momentarily. So this weekend was Mardi Gras and so we decided to prime our livers starting on Thursday night. I don't think it really worked all that well, but we still had a good time. Thursday was relaxing with Cindy and chit-chat time. Friday, Ryan taught us how to play a fun little game called Bier Schossen (sp?) It is kind of like Quarters except that there are four cups in the center and you bounce the quarter in a little differently, but it has the same effect. D.R.U.N.K. I will never again sit by Ryan and I'm quite sure about that one. Saturday morning was crazy. First KK missed the carpool for her volleyball tournament which then made Lara have to drive all the way to Belleville to drop her off. So that put our whole day behind schedule. Never fear, everything turned out famously.

It turned out the 'tent' we were supposed to be in was in fact a room, so we were out of the cold. That was the best part! While most of the people were outside freezing their butts off, we were inside, warm, with our own restroom, not a johnny on the spot, with a good supply of drinks, and food, and fun!

I love the face that Ryan is making in the background!

THE BLONDES!

A good one of Garrett and I.

After a few hours, we were ready to do some exploring, but first we had to get a shot of the three of us. This turned out to be a little more tricky that we thought, but we did manage to get some good ones.

Garrett and Ryan were having fun taking pictures. (And now I can't figure out why it has decided to underline just this area. AH!)

This one isn't too bad!

Later we found some of Garrett's med school buddies. (I think I have a better smile as the day went on...interesting)

Okay this was my favorite. These two are brothers and we only know the one, but I could have sworn the one I was talking to was the one that we know. As it turns out, it was not Mark. Again, very interesting situation. He knew we were engaged too. Curious, very curious.

I made friends with a man in an astronaut suit. Oh and I found a boa that I decided to wear for the rest of the evening.

All in all, a good day! We had lots of fun, and I glad we all made it home in one piece!!! Hopefully, it won't be two weeks again before I get a chance to update the blog!!!

Until Next Time!
Lots of Love!!
