Its been an incredibly busy month here! I have literally had almost no time to post anything lately. Many things went down in October!! It began with Oktoberfest in Soulard, then progressed to a sucky birthday, then Garrett came home and we got ready for Halloween! However, the prep in the following all happened before Garrett got home on Friday.
It has become a habit to have drinks on Hump Day each week. I really enjoy the time we get to spend with friends each week! Our weekends are sometimes really full and it allows for an opportunity to see everyone during the week! Usually we go to a local bar, but this past week we opted for the traditional carving of the pumpkins instead. In the middle of carving, Ryan figured out why our parents always wanted to do the simple triangle eyes and square nose, etc. because carving the patterns out was a huge pain! But they did end up looking pretty cool!
This was my pumpkin!
All the pumpkin guts!! We, of course, cooked the pumpkin seeds!
Achilles in last year's costume that was later modified for this year. He was a dinosaur turned dragon on Saturday night.
These aren't the greatest but they are still fun!
This is my pumpkin in the dark! It was pretty....WICKED!
Friday afternoon there was more prepping to do in the form of Jell-O Shots! That was also the day that Garrett came home! I'm so happy to have him home! He is very busy being the handyman around the house now!! Especially since he virtually has the next three weeks off!!! I'm thinking that the house ought to be spotless! Lol! Men...so probably not.
Garrett also had to turn in his military ranks for his residency. So now all we have to do it hurry up and wait!!! Come December 15th, we will know where are we are for sure going in June and I can officially start job hunting/house hunting/prepare! I am glad that Garrett has his Match Day so much sooner than everyone else!! Sorry I'm not sorry!!! :) I need to plan and I'll have so much more time to plan than if he found out in March like everyone else! :)
On another note, only a week and a half of class left and then its on to preceptorship! Only a neuro test and a final exam stands in the way between me and the finish line! (More or less)
Stay tuned for the Halloween extravaganza! And other hopefully interesting fun things that go on in the upcoming weeks!!!
Until Next Time!
Lots of Love!!
