Snowy Monday

St. Louis is finally getting snow! I have missed the snow this year! There is not a whole lot of accumulation yet, but according to the weather people its supposed to keep coming down until tomorrow morning! So here's to hoping for the illusive snow day! (Ps-I had to scroll back a long way in my Facebook photos to find this pictures! That night/next day was so much fun!) I've got my fingers crossed for a snow day tomorrow! I don't think I'm going to get it, but here's to hoping!

The weekend was uneventful for us as Garrett had to be at the hospital on Saturday. Saturday evening, I joined the Huck clan for Cameron's birthday at Dave & Buster's. And of course we squeezed in a trip to Penzey's Spices! L-O-V-E Penzey's!! I'm so glad we got to go because now I have some tasty taco spice and the most glorious cinnamon sugar. Okay, I know that you don't have to buy a premixed cinnamon sugar, but it was free! And it smells divine!! I really need to make something with it soon!!!

Sunday was a very busy day for Garrett and I. We went rock climbing first thing in the morning! Rock climbing is our new hobby!  We officially bought memberships for the year at Upper Limits! If you haven't tried it before, I would suggest that you check it out! Its very good for strengthening and I have already noticed a difference. I am climbing better than I was just a short month ago. There are grips that I didn't think I could hold onto that are a piece of cake now. I'm really glad that Garrett and I are able to share this together! He is very encouraging, even when I have reached my physical limit for the day! Have you ever felt extremely tight in your forearms? Push-ups, pull-ups, or most other exercises that you do with your arms focus on the bicep and triceps area, but rock climbing includes those forearms. That's how I know that I have a really good climb!

This upcoming weekend is Mardi Gras and I could not be more excited! I love a good party! Garrett even got his schedule switched around so now he doesn't have to miss out on the fun on Saturday in Soulard! Ryan has plans to join up too!!! And bonus! One of my favorite people will be joining us for the festivities!!!  That's right! Amanda!!! I was having a reminiscent moment and decided to pull one from a long time ago!! This one is from November of 2007!! Yuck!!! We went to San Antonio to watch the Big 12 Championship game between the Tigers and the Sooners....only to be disappointed as usual (Texas sucks like that!!!) Moral of the story is that Amanda and I will be taking on Soulard Mardi Gras in our typical fashion! Dignity...always dignity!!!!

We just have to survive the  four short days until its time to play!!! No worries love!! I'm prepping already!!! So much to do! So much to do!!!!

Until Next Time!
Lots of Love!!

Why the Monday after the Super Bowl should be a Holiday...

Super Bowl Sunday: One of my favorite days of the year, even when I don't give a darn about either team. Okay, well that's not true this year. Just as long as the Patriots didn't win it, I was going to be okay. Any day that Brady falls on his face and fails is a good day in my book. So I guess I somewhat cared about the winner/loser. Madonna provided some entertainment to an otherwise dull game. And what is a Super Bowl Halftime Show

without some controversy?! I didn't see it, I guess my eyes are getting old, but M.I.A. flipped the bird? I have no doubt that is happened, but I just missed it...no big deal.

Oh but back to my main point, the day after the Super Bowl really should just be a holiday! How many people called in to work today? Or just took off from the beginning? Whether they partied hard or not, they are definitely not at work. So why not just give everyone the day off? Most Americans were up watching. It doesn't matter if it was your team or not, odds are that you were having a party or attending a party. Seriously, the Monday after the Super Bowl should be a holiday!

The only bad thing about the Super Bowl was that once again the Rams were nowhere near it. Its definitely been a rough couple of years for Rams fans. But here's to hoping that things improve!

I can honestly say that I have a serious case of the Mondays. Its just one of those days where I woke up thinking "No! I want to stay in bed!"

I can't wait for a case of the Fridays!!!

Here's to hoping that Friday gets here quickly!!!

Until Next Time!
Lots of Love!!
